DISS Celebrates Children’s Rights Week 2026

Theme: “Let Every Child’s Future Be Secure”

Event Highlights | Four Days of Awareness, Inspiration, Learning, and Celebration

Daffodil Institute of Social Sciences (DISS) proudly celebrated Children’s Rights Week 2026 through a four-day programme dedicated to promoting children’s rights, strengthening child protection, and inspiring a safer and brighter future for every child. Guided by the theme “Let Every Child’s Future Be Secure,” the programme brought together children, educators, guests, and DISS team members through meaningful activities, awareness initiatives, cultural celebrations, and educational experiences.

The celebration began with a vibrant rally to raise awareness of children’s rights and reinforce the importance of ensuring every child’s safety, dignity, education, and overall well-being. The rally reflected DISS’s commitment to building a society where children are protected, respected, and given opportunities to reach their full potential.

Throughout the programme, children participated in engaging activities designed to encourage self-expression, confidence, creativity, and awareness of their rights. An important highlight was the visit of Mr. Md. Azizur Rahman and Advocate Aslam Khan from Shishu Polli Plus, who shared their valuable experiences, inspiring guidance, and thoughtful perspectives with the children. Their interaction created an opportunity for the children to learn, ask questions, and reflect on the importance of rights, responsibilities, and personal development. The programme was further enriched by joyful cultural activities that celebrated childhood, talent, and togetherness.

On the concluding day, a team of DISS children participated in a programme at Bangladesh Shishu Academy, gaining valuable exposure to a wider platform for children’s engagement and development. They also visited the Bangladesh National Museum, where they explored the country’s history, heritage, and culture. Upon returning to DISS, the children enthusiastically shared their experiences and learning with their peers, allowing the spirit of discovery and learning to reach more children.

The successful completion of the four-day celebration was made possible through the dedication, teamwork, and sincere efforts of the DISS team members. Their contribution reflects the shared commitment of DISS to creating a supportive environment where every child feels safe, valued, heard, and encouraged to thrive.

At DISS, children’s rights are not limited to a celebration or a single event; they are an essential part of our everyday commitment to child protection, education, care, and holistic development. We believe that every child deserves a safe childhood, equal opportunities, and the freedom to grow with dignity, confidence, and hope.

Our Commitment: “The Best Interests of the Child Come First.”

DISS remains dedicated to protecting children’s rights and working towards a future where every child can live safely, learn meaningfully, and fulfil their potential.
